Terms of service

1. Who you are contracting with
The service is provided by Patient Protect Ltd, company number 16827548, registered at Unit 2 Leavesden Lodge, 1a Leavesden Road, Watford, England, WD24 5FR.
2. What we provide
Patient Protect provides advocacy, education, documentation and expert support for people prescribed cannabis medicines in the UK. We are not a law firm, we do not provide regulated legal advice, and nothing we provide is a substitute for instructing a solicitor. Where legal representation is needed we will say so and can refer you to specialist lawyers.
3. Membership
Membership is billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Membership covers the routine casework listed on our pricing page, subject to fair and reasonable use. Membership is designed as cover taken out before a problem arises; support for an issue that began before you joined is quoted as pay-as-you-go work.
4. Pay-as-you-go services
Additional services — including expert opinions, expert witness reports, tribunal and court attendance — are quoted case by case. Prices shown are indicative starting points. Work begins once the quote is accepted and payment, or an agreed deposit, is received. Urgent work and travel may carry the surcharges shown on the pricing page.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You have the statutory 14-day right to cancel a new membership. Where you ask us to start work within that period and we do, you may be charged for work already carried out. Fees for completed casework are non-refundable.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate information, to tell us promptly about deadlines, hearings or time limits, and to make your own decisions about your case. We cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
