Subscription terms

These terms apply to Patient Protect membership at £5.00 per month.

1. What membership is

Membership is an ongoing support service for people prescribed cannabis medicines in the UK. It is not insurance, and it is not legal representation. Patient Protect is not a law firm and does not provide regulated legal advice; where your situation requires a solicitor we will tell you and refer you to specialists.

2. What is included

  • Access to member guidance, explainers and template letters.
  • Reporting an issue and an initial review of your situation.
  • Support and guidance from the Patient Protect team on your case.
  • Member rates on chargeable casework such as court attendance or meetings.

3. What is not included

Legal representation, court fees, third-party solicitor fees, expert reports commissioned from others, and casework listed as chargeable on our pricing page. Anything chargeable is quoted and agreed with you in advance.

4. Price, billing and renewal

Membership costs £5.00 per month, billed in advance to your chosen payment method and renewing automatically each month until cancelled. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; membership benefits continue until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not charge cancellation fees.

6. Refunds and your cancellation rights

If you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing and have not asked us to begin casework, you may request a full refund of that month. Where you have asked us to start work within the 14 days, we may retain a proportionate amount for work already carried out. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

7. Fair use

Membership support is provided on a fair-use basis for your own situation. It does not cover unlimited casework, third parties, or matters unrelated to your prescription. We may decline or pause support where use is unreasonable, abusive, or outside our expertise.

8. Failed payments

If a payment fails we will retry and email you. If payment remains outstanding after 14 days, membership is suspended and reverts to non-member pricing until it is brought up to date.

9. Changes and ending membership

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to members at least 30 days' in advance. We may end a membership by giving notice and refunding any unused portion, for example where we cannot lawfully or safely support a matter.

10. Questions

Email alex@patientprotect.co.uk and we will come back to you. These terms sit alongside our terms of service and privacy notice.
